Juror Reporting Instructions For:

Thursday - August 11, 2022

Three locations are used for jurors reporting to Third Circuit Court. Your Reporting Location and Group Number are found on the lower right-hand corner of your summons form. Your Group Number is preceded by a zero. The group number is used to identify the jurors requested to report. Please refer to the information below to see if your group number is listed to report to the location to which you are summoned; Groups that were not instructed to report, your service has ended for this jury term.

HEALTH SCREENING

The Third Circuit Court Has Gone to Great Lengths to Protect Health and Safety. 

CDC DEFINITIONS

  • FULLY VACCINATED - A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the last recommended dose of vaccine (e.g. 2 weeks after Pfizer or Moderna 2nd dose or 2 weeks after Johnson and Johnson single dose).
  • CLOSE CONTACT - Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.
  • PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) DIAGNOSTIC TEST -This is a diagnostic test that determines if you are infected by analyzing a sample to see if it contains genetic material from the virus (nasal swab test).
  • RAPID ANTIGEN DIAGNOSTIC TEST - This is a diagnostic test that determines if you are infected by analyzing a sample to see if it contains antigens of the virus (nasal swab test).

HEALTH SCREENING

The Third Circuit Court Has Gone to Great Lengths to Protect Health and Safety. 

By the order of the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan, those who received a jury summons are ordered to appear for jury service at the place, date, and time listed on that summons. 

Health Screening 

  1. If you have experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours:
    • A fever or chills
    • A cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea

  2. Are you isolating or quarantining because you tested positive for COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19?
  3.  

  4. Are you currently waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test?
  5.  

  6. Have you been in close physical contact with or live with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 5 days?

If any of the above situations apply to you, do not report for jury service.  Please call (313) 224-2507 or send an email to juryservices@3rdcc.org.  When you call, you will be asked to leave a message with your name, juror ID#, and telephone number.

Face coverings are required to enter the courthouse.  Additional Personal Protection Equipment will also be provided to all jurors.

If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided.  Additional Personal Protection Equipment will also be provided to all jurors.
