To protect the health and safety of jurors, the Wayne County Third Circuit Court has currently suspended jury trials through July 19, 2021.

Jurors who were rescheduled and directed to report for jury duty through July 15, 2021 shall not report for service.

Juror Reporting Instructions For:

Tuesday - November 30, 2021

Two locations are used for jurors reporting to Third Circuit Court. Your Reporting Location and Group Number are found on the lower right-hand corner of your summons form. Your Group Number is preceded by a zero. The group number is used to identify the jurors requested to report. Please refer to the information below to see if your group number is listed to report to the location to which you are summoned; Groups that were not instructed to report, your service has ended for this jury term.

By the order of the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan, those who received a jury summons are ordered to appear for jury service at the place, date, and time listed on that summons.

HEALTH SCREENING

The Third Circuit Court Has Gone to Great Lengths to Protect Health and Safety. 

By the order of the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan, those who received a jury summons are ordered to appear for jury service at the place, date, and time listed on that summons. 

Health Screening 

  1. If you have experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours:
    • A fever or chills
    • A cough or worsening cough, or
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  2. If you:
    • Are you isolating or quarantining because you tested positive for COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19?
    • HAVE NOT fully recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection in the last 3 months OR you HAVE NOT been fully vaccinated and you have been in close physical contact in the last 14 days with
      • Anyone who is known to have laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 test
        OR
      • Anyone who has any symptoms consistent with COVID-19
    • Have traveled within the United States in the last 10 days and you HAVE NOT been fully vaccinated?
      If yes, the following applies:
      • Must take a PCR COVID-19 test 3-5 days from return. If negative, must quarantine for a total of seven (7) days.
      • Those who do not test after return must quarantine for a total of ten (10) days.
    • Have traveled internationally in the last 10 days?
      If yes, and you HAVE NOT been fully vaccinated, the following applies:
      • Must take a PCR COVID-19 test 3-5 days from return. If negative, must quarantine for a total of seven (7) days
      • Those who do not test after return must quarantine for a total of ten (10) days. OR
      • If yes, and you HAVE been fully vaccinated, the following applies:
        • Must take a PCR COVID-19 test 3-5 days from return.
    • You are currently awaiting results from COVID-19 testing

If any of the above situations apply to you, do not report for jury service.  Please call (313) 224-2507 or send an email to juryservices@3rdcc.org.  When you call, you will be asked to leave a message with your name, juror ID#, and telephone number.

Face coverings are required to enter the courthouse.  Additional Personal Protection Equipment will also be provided to all jurors.
