Juvenile Drug Treatment Court - S.T.A.N.D.

Led by Hon. Karen Braxton, the Wayne County Juvenile Drug Treatment Court, Supervised Treatment for Alcohol and Narcotic Dependency (S.T.A.N.D.), provides an alternative to the traditional criminal justice system by offering comprehensive supervision and evidence-based treatment services. The S.T.A.N.D. program prioritizes the health and well-being of participants by addressing the symptoms of substance use disorder through therapeutic jurisprudence, clinical treatment, and coordinated community support services. These efforts are designed to promote recovery, accountability, and improved life outcomes for youth.

S.T.A.N.D. Program Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the S.T.A.N.D. Program, participants must:

  1. Be a Wayne County resident 14-17 years old
  2. Have a parent or legal guardian who consents to participation
  3. Have self-reported substance use and/or a verified positive drug screen
  4. Have no history of violent offenses
