Sharonda Simmons Hired as Chief Strategy Officer

Sharonda Simmons has joined the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan as its new Chief Strategy Officer effective this week. 

Sharonda has a proven history as a strategist and executive leader with 16 years of experience guiding organizations through growth, transformation, and sustainable change. She has built her career by helping teams strengthen their leadership, operations, and culture, while keeping equity and community impact at the center.

For the past five years, Sharonda has served as Founder and Principal Consultant of TNS Consulting, partnering with nonprofits, associations, and mission-driven organizations to design strategy, build capacity, and foster effective leadership. Her consulting work includes engagements with the North American Bikeshare & Scootershare Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association and numerous regional and community-based organizations.

Sharonda’s role at the court will be to drive the Third Judicial Circuit's strategic vision, secure critical grant funding, and foster an inclusive and equitable environment within the court system. Within this framework, she will collaborate with court leadership to translate the court's mission and vision into actionable strategies and impactful initiatives.

“Sharonda brings an entrepreneurial mindset to this position, which will help our court expand our strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building efforts,” says Third Circuit Court Chief Judge Patricia Perez Fresard. “She will play an important role in uncovering funding and other opportunities to interact with Wayne County residents and the community as a whole.”

 Sharonda currently serving as Board Chair of the Women’s Center of Southeastern Michigan and as a member of the University of Michigan Dobson Committee.
