Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan Announces Judge Annette J. Berry as Recipient of 2025 “Influential Women of Law” Award

Detroit, MI -The Hon. Annette J. Berry has been named one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2025 “Influential Women of Law.” Judge Berry, a member of the Third Circuit Court’s Civil Division, is one of only two judges in Michigan to receive this prestigious recognition this year.

The “Influential Women of Law” award honors women attorneys and judges who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, mentorship, professional achievement, and community service, according to Michigan Lawyers Weekly The award highlights those who have made significant contributions to the legal profession and continue to inspire future generations of leaders.

Judge Berry has served on the Third Judicial Circuit Court since 2000, presiding over both criminal and civil matters. She has serves on the Business Court, having first been appointed in November 2022 and reappointed in January 2025.  Before joining the bench, Judge Berry served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan, earning a reputation as a skilled trial attorney. Over the course of her career, Judge Berry has also been an active mentor and advocate for young lawyers and law students.
